1. Can former Chinese citizens who have obtained foreign nationality apply for international student program?
Undergraduate: If both parents or one of the parents of the applicant are Chinese citizens and reside in a foreign country, the applicant should have foreign nationality at birth and hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least 4 years. In addition, more than 2 years of actual residence in a foreign country has been recorded in the last 4 years (ending in April 30, 2021). The actual residence of more than 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit signatures. For residences of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who immigrated to foreign countries and are applying as international students, please refer to the requirements above.
Postgraduate: applicants who have naturalized as foreign nationality after being former Chinese citizens should provide the documents certifying the cancellation of their original Chinese household registration and renunciation of Chinese nationality.

3. I am still a senior high school student during the application stage and have not obtained the graduation certificate. Can I apply for the undergraduate program?
You can submit the expected graduation certificate. If you are admitted, you must submit the original or notarized copy of the graduation certificate before you register, otherwise you will be disqualified.
4. I am still studying in the last year of a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree during the application and have not obtained the graduation certificate. Can I apply for a master’s or doctor’s degree?
You can submit the expected graduation certificate. If you are admitted, you must submit the original or notarized copy of the graduation certificate before you register, otherwise you will be disqualified.
5. Is there any format requirement for the recommendation letter?
No, but it needs to be signed by the recommender and it must be the original copy.
6. What are the differences between general advanced students and senior advanced students?
General advanced program enrolls sophomore or students of higher degree to take undergraduate courses in departments and schools for one semester or one year.
7. Can those who have no basic knowledge of Chinese be enrolled as Chinese advanced learners?
Yes. We welcome students of all different Chinese levels to study in our school. We have 9 classes of different levels in our school. After the registration, you need to take a class test to decide which class to study in.
